How we started
About
Over the last decade I've worked in the restaurant and industry from various jobs but always loved barbecue I started as most smoking meats in the yard and starting by feeding neighbors and then I went decided to do one night at the local bar Jl's the line was non stop until we sold out 3 hrs later. Me and my wife saw that we had something there. So I started making small batches of sauces and kept playing with rubs. Kept the 9-5 job and just kept pushing until I got a call about a commercial kitchen that opened up at the local baseball field. It was out of the way but I figured I could manage a way to get our food downtown. I started to do pop ups at various other Buisness in town and through collaborating with them we now had our pit smoked bbq at town festivals and on the Main Street. We now frequent FLX Beirgarten Fridays-Sundays and can find us at the horse ranch from time to time. Best way to catch our bbq is following us on our instagram @Avalon_Smokehouse.
